“The Invisible Cape” By Diana Moreno To revive myself I wear you I put my armor on  The operational invisible cape The virtuous fortitude Commissions me to be unstoppable It produces an alter ego An active sensation of endless power A functional synergy That propels me in any circumstance No more fearful platitude of  I should believe in myself A retroactive approach from the past I will never give you up I am no longer a kid You will stay with me forever This was all you, never me The prolific, addictive force Confidence you are the invisible cover up I will never let you go.

Poem "The Nature of My Hidden Epidemic" by Diana Moreno

Image
"The Nature of My Hidden Epidemic" by Diana Moreno The contemplation in my inner eye Reminds me of my cellular bloodline. The fire running through each vain, Boiling each fiber causing, My heart to sweat. Encompassing the insanity of the past, The body keeps the score. The brain, mind and spirit Combines the boundless curiosity of What a masterpiece I am. The comfort of infinite passionate capacities Compels me to humbly look at how far I've come. The lack of imprecision No longer takes hold of my Wavered emotions. Instead the hidden pandemic Becomes the comfort of a soft Pendleton blanket, Of breaking the cycle, the silence, The miracle of self-discovery.
